Savings Calculation Petrol prices continue to fluctuate, and it is difficult to tie down an exact price comparison due to this. However assuming that petrol remains at more than twice the cost of LPG using the following will give you an idea of how much you can save by converting to Autogas. 1) Calculate your average spend on petrol over a known period (normally one month) 2) Multiply the above amount by twelve to arrive at an annual figure. 3) Divide this figure by two, and add ten percent. 4) Subtract this this from the annual petrol spend, and within a bit this will be your saving on fuel alone. We have threatened to put together an automatic savings calculator, however due to our lack of ability to do this, and the fact that the above bit of mental arithmetic is pretty simple it will continue to remain a threat for the foreseeable future.
